Tam with Max

Max

Max was rescued at 16 weeks in front of Petsmart, Dublin, California. He is now a happy, go-lucky, always hungry guard dog who loves his daily walks, belly rubs and bully sticks.

Our stories

From early childhood, Tam and his family were forced to leave their home country of Vietnam in 1978 due to political and economic turmoil. They were one of the early part of the "boat people" phenomenon and embarked on a treacherous journey to Australia through Malaysia. Upon arrival, they were placed in a refugee camp and given the support they needed to rebuild their lives.

Despite facing challenges such as discrimination and hostility from some, Tam and his sisters were able to finish school and establish successful careers. Their story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the hope that exists even in the most difficult circumstances.

Tam and his family's experience is one shared by many refugees around the world. Their story highlights the importance of providing support and opportunities to those in need, and the impact that can have on individuals and communities.

Polo - the wise old soul

Polo was rescued in May 2000 at 10 weeks old after his mother was dumped at an animal shelter shortly before giving birth. Polo was smart, loyal and definitely an old soul. He passed away in Vivian's arms on March 9th 2015, a week before his 15th birthday. Polo is dearly loved and sorely missed.

Our journey

We firmly believe in the intrinsic value of every life, which is why we started to rescue dogs and support those in need for over 20 years.

Our exposure to diverse perspectives through travel have also heightened our awareness of disparities beyond our immediate surroundings.  In 2022 we finally we embarked on this journey to expand our reach and do more for our global communities by forming this 501(c) non-profit foundation. We have since expanded support to animal shelters and food banks in United States, animal rescue groups in Greece, orphanages in Vietnam and India, preservation of arts and histories throughout Europe and Australia.

Our motivation is fueled by our unwavering commitment to leveraging our resources to create a world where everyone can lead a healthy and quality life.
